Ashley Elizabeth Daigle began her formal dance instruction in Manchester, Connecticut. Shortly after, Ashley choose to further her pre-professional studies at Goucher College where she was the recipient of the Friends of Goucher Dance Scholarship. During her time there, she was fortunate enough to study abroad at Taipei National University of the Arts in Taipei, Taiwan. She also had the honor of working with numerous guest artists such as: Nicolo Fonte, Susan Jaffe, Zappora Karz, Emery LeCrone, Nicholas Leichter, Gina Paterson, and Amy Seiwert during her four years at Goucher. In 2014, she graduated with her BA in Dance and was honored with Goucher’s Dance Prize for Excellence Track of Study in Choreography.
After graduation, Ashley moved her dance roots to the Chicago, Illinois. During her time in Chicago she worked at the Lou Conte Dance Studio, taught at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s Youth Department and was a student with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s Scholarship Program. She was a featured guest artist with Ruth Page Civic Ballet for two seasons and in 2016, completed an International tour in Morocco. Ashley has spent over ten summers performing, choreographing, and teaching at Burklyn Ballet Theater in upstate Vermont. In 2019, Ashley received her MFA in Dance from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. She now is a New York City-based contemporary ballet choreographer and teacher.
