A native of Dover, Delaware, Jasmine Urban, graduated Univeristy of Hartford's Hartt school as a ballet pedagogy major with Magna Cum Laude. With a special interest in dance education, Ms. Urban has been teaching ballet for six years, and is the proud recipient of Connecticut Dance Alliance’s Elena Del Vecchio Rusnak Dance Education Scholarship in 2017. As a dancer at the Hartt School, Jasmine has performed numerous classic works like: George Balanchine’s Serenade, José Limón’s Choreographic Offering, and Martha Graham’s Appalachian Spring, and new works by Claudia Schreier and Michelle Thompson-Ullerich. She is also the proud recipient of The Hartt Dances 2019 Senior Dance Award. Since 2017, Ms. Urban has also been a guest artist with Ballet Hartford, performing in Messiah and Swan Lake. For the 2019/2020 season she is joining New England Ballet Collective as a Company Artist, Public Relations Director, as well as a Co-founder for their inaugural season. Ms. Urban is very excited to bring accessible dance to the New England Area.
